On December 8, 2025, Helical Fusion hosted a partnering event in Aichi Prefecture, one of Japan’s leading centers of manufacturing excellence, calling on industry partners to jointly build the fusion energy industry. The event brought together companies, organizations, and local governments from Aichi and the broader Chubu region to explore how fusion energy can be realized through concrete industrial participation.
This was the second time the event was held, following its initial launch in July. Approximately 90 guests attended, reflecting growing momentum and rising expectations for the realization of fusion energy and for tangible opportunities to take part in the emerging fusion energy industry.
At the beginning of the event, Takaya Taguchi, Co-Founder and CEO of Helical Fusion, provided an overview of fusion energy, explaining its fundamentals, the current state of development, and the outlook ahead. He also outlined the key points of the Helix Program, Helical Fusion’s roadmap toward achieving electricity generation through fusion, and shared a message for future partners on how they can engage with and contribute to this long-term effort.
The event was also attended by the Governor of Aichi Prefecture, Mr. Hideaki Omura, who offered words of encouragement for Helical Fusion and the partner companies taking part. He emphasized the importance of regional collaboration and expressed strong support for initiatives that leverage local industrial strengths to advance next-generation energy technologies.
In the latter half of the program, a panel session was held featuring three partner companies with strong ties to Aichi Prefecture: Aoki Super Co., Ltd., GOMUNOINAKI Co., Ltd., and Metal Technology Co., Ltd. Representing different industries, the panelists spoke candidly about their paths to participating in the fusion energy sector, including through investment and technical collaboration, as well as their expectations for the future of fusion energy. Their discussion conveyed a strong sense of enthusiasm and encouraged broader participation from the audience.
Japan’s deep manufacturing expertise and its flexible approach to building production systems through collaboration among multiple companies remain essential strengths. Leveraging these capabilities will continue to be a core strategy for Helical Fusion as it works to turn fusion energy into a practical and industrial reality.
